Ketogenic for the Weekend

By ltsolet / On / In Amazon, Health, Read

So those of you who know me, know that I am a strong proponent of the Ketogenic Diet.  What is that you say?  Well, think Low Carb High Fat.  “Fat!?!” you say in astonishment making that face people make when they eat kale and pretend to love it.  “High fat!” you say is even worse.

Well, hear me out.  It’s not what you think or perhaps not as bad as you think.  There are several varieties of the diet out there and most can fit even the craziest lifestyle while keeping off the weight and providing a myriad of other help benefits.

Disclaimer time:  I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV.  Consult your doctor and common sense before trying any new health fad or diet recommended by your friends uncle bob or anyone you find on the internet…like this one.

The diet works on a simple principle: use fat for fuel instead of only carbs.  By limiting carbs you force the body to use up its fat stores.  And if you’re like me, you have a few.  By burning fat instead of going for quick carbs you can quickly loose weight while at first restricting calories and later maintain weight by keeping to the diet guidelines.

Here’s a few things to read on the subject for the weekend.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.  I may open a different comment section for this as w grow.
